EDIT: Thanks everone for the great ideas! ^__^ I think I know what I need to do for the tail now. I've already found this lovely fur at Walmart. Each strand of fur is white with black tips, and I think it simulates Ammy's black lines on her tail very well. Then I just need to make the swirlies and attach them. Tis very soft.
 ~~~~ An idea for this spring's anime con that I'm (probably) going to.  It's called Anime Detour and it takes place in the Mall of America in... April, I think. My second anime-event-thing!IT'S GONNA BE FUN! 8DDD But I don't know how to get the swirlies on her tail in!  I was thinking just carving it from foam and putting fur over it, but I want this thing to be washable, and can you wash foam? If you have any ideas, please let me know! I'll probably wear this with some jeans modified to have fur around the bottom hem or something.The disk part will be easy enough, I'm used to making sculpture-prop type things. ~__~ I had to take a few liberties with the design on it though, since in the game the design's blurred. And I had trouble deciding whether to use this one or the Blade of Kusanagi, the green sword you get after defeating Ninetails. That's the one I use in the game most of the time, but I decided on this one because I figured more people would recognise it.  And I didn't really feel like carrying a sword everywhere. >_<I'm also hoping to make a little Issun prop to go with it.  He can sit on toppa mah head and be the annoying perv he is. XDOh, and the mitten paws idea isn't mine, I got that from  's [link] So go give her props for making such a cute hoodie! ^_^ |

As for the swirls, what about wire? I'm no seamstress so I have no idea about sewing- sorry I cant be more help.
The disk looks so interesting but complicated. At first I thought it was a backpack/purse design. I wish you luck in this venture- I'm sure it will look great! =3

You know what, wire might actually work... I could make the swirls seperate from wire with fur covering it, and then attach it to the rest of the tail! Hey, thanks for the idea!
The disk won't be as complicated as it looks; I'm probably just going to draw on most of the design. XD And add a few raised edges here and there, and the middle will be raised a bit, but that's pretty much it. Add some felt and voila!~<3

An idea for getting the shoulder swirles to stand up? and the tail to be poofie? What if you made them like those old school shoulder pads in ladies jackets?
You make the swirls so they attach to the sweater but leave a hole so you can insert a filling like a small home made pillow for the job? or just extra fabric. That way the swirl would be made by the same material as the sweater but the filling could be removed so it would dry normally. Same with the tail. ^_^ I know this is kinda hard to understand here, so if you think this would work and want me to try to explain farther just ask ^_^
I still think it's really cool. If I was able to I'd probably try to get one lol
